ANNISTON, AL — Anniston Museums and Gardens will host Museum Day on Saturday, Aug. 22, offering free admission and a variety of activities for visitors.
The event will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the museum complex on Museum Drive in Anniston. Special Museum Day activities are scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Organizers are inviting visitors to “Explore Your World!” while experiencing the different attractions available throughout Anniston Museums and Gardens.
During the event, guests will have opportunities to meet some of the museums’ animal ambassadors, explore exhibit halls and participate in hands-on activities.
Visitors will also be able to explore both the Anniston Museum of Natural History and the Berman Museum. The two museums offer collections and exhibits covering natural history, wildlife, world cultures, military history, weaponry and other subjects.
Museum Day is designed to give community members an opportunity to experience the museums and learn more about their exhibits and educational offerings at no cost.
Admission will be free throughout the event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with hands-on activities and other special programming taking place during the first four hours of the day.
Anniston Museums and Gardens is located on Museum Drive in Anniston.
