Anniston Woman Killed in Early Morning Pedestrian Crash on Alabama 202

Fatality

CALHOUN COUNTY, AL — An Anniston woman was killed early Tuesday morning after being struck by a pickup truck while in the roadway in Calhoun County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, on Alabama 202 near the 6-mile marker, less than one mile west of Anniston.

According to ALEA, 40-year-old Destiney M. Bobo of Anniston was in the roadway when she was struck by a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by 39-year-old Kerry P. McIntosh of Anniston.

Bobo sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No injuries to the driver were reported in the preliminary information released by authorities.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional information has been released at this time.
