ANNISTON — The Anniston Runners Club (ARC) will host the 45th annual Publix Woodstock 5K and Kidstock 1K on Saturday, Aug. 1, bringing runners, walkers and families together for one of Alabama’s longest-running road races.
The event will take place from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Woodstock Avenue in Anniston. Organizers expect more than 1,000 participants to take part in the annual tradition, which has been designated the 2026 RRCA Alabama State 5K Championship.
In addition to the 5K race, the event will feature the Kidstock 1K, local vendors, post-race festivities and an awards ceremony.
Organizers announced that any runner who breaks the existing course record in either the men’s or women’s division will receive an additional $500, creating the potential for up to $1,000 in bonus prize money if both records are broken.
The event will also include its annual Team Challenge, with cash prizes awarded to the team with the most participants as well as the fastest male, female and coed teams.
Hosted by the Anniston Runners Club, the Woodstock 5K has become a longtime community tradition, bringing together competitive runners and recreational walkers while showcasing Anniston’s hospitality.
