Anniston, AL — Ashlee Jones, Communications Director at the Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitors Center, has successfully completed the Certificate in Workforce Development Fundamentals, a nationally recognized program aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of workforce professionals. The certification is a collaborative effort between the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Foundation and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
Jones participated as a member of the program’s third cohort, joining over 150 professionals across the country who have earned this certificate. The six-week course explored the intersection of economic development and workforce development, incorporating expert-led sessions, interactive assignments, and an online final exam.
According to the Chamber, this achievement reflects Jones’s dedication to supporting inclusive workforce initiatives and advancing economic opportunities throughout the region.
“We are proud to celebrate Ashlee’s achievement and see her become part of a growing network of professionals dedicated to workforce development,” said Linda Hearn, Executive Director of the Chamber. “We look forward to seeing how her newly acquired skills will create a lasting impact in the community.”
The ACCE Foundation serves more than 1,600 chamber organizations and provides professional development tools and resources. The IEDC is the largest nonprofit membership organization for economic development professionals, serving nearly 4,500 members across various sectors. Both organizations play a significant role in shaping local and regional economic strategies across the United States.
