Calhoun County, AL – Oxford boys, Anniston girls will carry No. 1 seeds. County tournament will start Jan. 13 and conclude Jan. 19 in Pete Mathews Coliseum.
WHITE PLAINS — Oxford’s boys and Anniston’s girls will carry the top seeds head into the Calhoun County basketball tournament.
Coaches voted on seeds at the annual seeding meeting Wednesday at White Plains High School. The tournament starts Jan. 13 and ends Jan. 19 in Pete Mathews Coliseum.
Oxford’s boys (9-12) are 1-0 against county competition, having beating White Plains early in the season. Oxford has won a record-setting five consecutive county titles and six in the past seven years.
Anniston’s girls (17-2) are 4-0 against county competition and look to reclaim the title after Oxford won back-to-back county titles in 2022 and 2023.
