Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Commissioners are inviting residents to take part in a Free Dump Day scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025. The event aims to provide a convenient, cost-free way for Calhoun County residents to dispose of specific types of household waste responsibly.
Held at the Calhoun County Landfill located at 3625 Morrisville Road in Anniston, AL, the event will run from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to use this opportunity to declutter their homes and contribute to a cleaner community.
Items accepted for free disposal include appliances, yard waste, shingles, scrap metal, carpet, and remodeling debris. However, standard charges will still apply to household garbage and tires to maintain the event’s focus on household cleanup and promote proper disposal methods.
This initiative, exclusively for Calhoun County residents, reflects an ongoing commitment by the County Commission to promote environmental responsibility and support community needs.
