Calhoun County, AL – Wednesday, October 26, 2022, Coosa Valley RC&D, a non-profit organization, specializing in bringing people, programs, and funding sources together, will met with Rep. Barbara Boyd (HD-32) and their FY21’ &22’ grant recipients and partners to celebrate the $18,500 investment planted throughout SD12 and HD32, which is centered in the middle, from the west county line to east of Anniston.
The RC&D program secures funding from the state legislature, private foundations, and federal partnerships. Coosa Valley RC&D’s funding is distributed throughout their council area, which includes Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Etowah, Randolph, St. Clair, Talladega and Tallapoosa counties.
Coosa Valley’s grant funding program has touched many organizations, large and small, enhancing communities with projects like purchasing playground equipment, building community gardens, etc.
We invite all Calhoun County residents and future partners to join us, see agenda attached, to learn more about these partnerships and programs serving Calhoun county, as well as how to participate in CVRC&D’s 2024 grant funding cycle. Our goal is to improve every county we represent by working together, developing leadership, as well as coordinating and sharing funds and talents.
