RAGLAND 57, FAITH CHRISTIAN 51: Jordan Turner scored 26 points and the Purple Devils held Faith to 31 percent shooting (12 percent from 3-point range) to pull into a tie for first place in the area.

The Lions led 29-22 at halftime, but Ragland came out firing in the second half. Turner scored nine and Javaris Turner added seven in the third quarter as the Purple Devils opened 45-35 lead going into the fourth quarter.

There was no girls game. Faith Christian has gone into COVID quarantine, forcing it to forfeit Friday’s opening-round game with Donoho in the Calhoun County Tournament. The boys team isn’t affected.

Because of the situation, there will be no 3 p.m. County Tournament game Friday at JSU. The first game of the day will start at 4:30 p.m.
