Jacksonville AL – The Community Actors’ Studio Theatre (CAST) will bring the classic Broadway musical Guys and Dolls to the Ernest Stone Center for Performing Arts on the campus of Jacksonville State University this week, offering audiences a chance to enjoy one of musical theater’s most celebrated comedies.
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, June 11, Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13 at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on June 14 at 2 p.m. The Thursday evening performance will serve as a “Pay What You Want” night.
Set against the backdrop of New York City, Guys and Dolls follows the intertwining lives of gamblers, missionaries, and showgirls as romance and high-stakes wagers collide. Known for its memorable songs and comedic storyline, the production remains one of the most popular musicals in American theater.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors and military members, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at CAST Alabama’s website or at the door. Theater doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
The Ernest Stone Center for Performing Arts is located at 700 Pelham Road North in Jacksonville. CAST officials encourage theatergoers to arrive early and enjoy an evening of live entertainment featuring some of Broadway’s most recognizable show tunes.
