NEABA has curated an impressive lineup of biking activities, offering participants two bike ride options to choose from. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a beginner, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
1. Piedmont to the State Line and Back: Embark on a scenic journey along the Ladiga Trail, covering approximately 28 miles round trip. This route promises breathtaking views and a chance to explore the beauty of Piedmont’s surroundings.
2. Kid-Friendly Ride to Terrapin Creek Crossing: Perfect for families and beginners, this shorter ride along the Ladiga Trail offers a fun and accessible biking experience for all ages.
3. Gravel Bike Loop to Coleman Lake: For the more adventurous riders, tackle the challenging gravel bike loop to Coleman Lake, spanning approximately 34 miles with an elevation gain of 3693 feet. Please note that this route requires a gravel bike or mountain bike due to varying terrain.
NEABA emphasizes safety during all rides, especially for participants tackling the gravel bike loop. Riders are encouraged to form tight groups for safety, consider bringing a blinky light, and wear bright colors to enhance visibility on the road.
Hydration stations and informational booths will be strategically located along the Chief Ladiga Trail, providing riders with essential resources and refreshments throughout their journey. Upon returning to Pinhoti Pizza, participants can look forward to food trucks serving up delicious eats and live music in the courtyard behind the venue, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere for all to enjoy.
