Per the Jacksonville State University’s public relations office, Dr. Joseph Akpan, JSU Distinguished Professor of Education, needs help this spring and summer tending to the community garden. Located at the First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, the Garden of Eatin’ provides fresh produce to our neighbors in need. Help is needed completing a variety of tasks – tilling, planting, and definitely weeding. The following seeds are also needed: tomatoes, potatoes, okra, corn, squash, zucchini, peppers.
