WASHINGTON DC – House Armed Services Committee Chairman U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03) released a statement following the House passage of H.R. 3838, the Streamlining Procurement for Effective Execution and Delivery and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26 SPEED and NDAA). The legislation passed with a bipartisan vote of 231–196.

Rogers described the bill as a comprehensive effort to modernize the U.S. military, support servicemembers, and strengthen national defense. “Today’s vote to advance the FY26 NDAA is a vote to modernize our military, support our troops, and restore American deterrence,” he said. “As we face the most complex global threat environment since WWII, it’s critical that the United States has a ready, capable, and lethal fighting force to secure our homeland.”
