Oxford, AL – FabArc Steel Supply, Inc., Alabama’s largest steel subcontractor and an AISC-certified fabrication facility, has announced the successful completion of the steel structure for DataBank ATL 5, a new state-of-the-art data center in South Fulton, Georgia.
The project, owned by DataBank Holdings, Ltd. and led by contractor Brasfield & Gorrie, spans 416,000 square feet and will provide 48 megawatts (MW) of critical IT capacity. Designed to handle demanding workloads, the facility represents a major investment in the region’s expanding technology infrastructure.

The development required over 5,000 tons of structural steel and included architecturally exposed curtain wall framing, shop-assembled canopy box frames, and 68,000 square feet of galvanized equipment platforms. Williams Erections Company managed steel erection, while SP International provided detailing services.
Construction on DataBank ATL 5 began in June 2024 and operations are expected to launch in 2027.
