Jacksonville, AL – On Saturday, August 2, the Jacksonville Community Center will host “Disney Day at the Rec,” a family-friendly event designed to bring the wonder and excitement of the Disney parks to the local community. Scheduled from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the event invites attendees of all ages to experience themed activities inspired by Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT.
For a $10 admission fee per person, participants will enjoy a guided two-hour tour from noon to 2:00 PM, where each “park” offers interactive activities tailored to its theme. The Magic Kingdom area will feature a princess meet and greet, crown-making crafts, storytime, and games. Hollywood Studios will include Jedi training, a Star Wars photo booth, and a green screen movie experience.
Animal Kingdom promises a safari scavenger hunt, animal mask decorating, and a mini obstacle course. Meanwhile, EPCOT offers “Around the World” crafts, a taste test station, and cultural trivia challenges.
From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, attendees can freely revisit any of the stations and enjoy the event at their own pace. Guests are encouraged to dress in Disney-themed attire to enhance the immersive experience.
