The city of Jacksonville wanted to issue a public thank you and acknowledgment to the Coosa Valley RC&D Council for their donation. The official release is below.
Official Release
The City of Jacksonville would like to thank the Coosa Valley RC&D Council for the $3,500.00 grant received on October 5, 2020 for the “Jacksonville Landscape Improvements” at the City of Jacksonville’s Public Safety Complex walking trail and pond. This grant provided funding for the City to purchase 25 trees (River Birch, Nuttall Oaks and Weeping Willows) and watering bags. City personnel from the Planning Department, Parks and Recreation Department, Street and Sanitation Department, and Fire Department provided the labor to install the trees on April 20, 2021.
