Calhoun County, AL – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:55 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, claimed the life of a man in Calhoun County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Jamyrian L. Darden, 23, of Aragon, Ga., was fatally injured when the 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer he was operating left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. Darden was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 278 near the 153-mile marker, approximately three miles west of Piedmont.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash. No further details are available at this time.
