Ed Deyo’s Exhibition Takes Center Stage at Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County

Anniston, AL – For art enthusiasts and aficionados in Anniston, a visual treat awaits as the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County proudly presents the captivating artwork of Ed Deyo. The exhibition, housed in the Ayers Room, is set to enchant visitors from November through January, offering a unique glimpse into the creative genius of this local maestro.

Ed Deyo, a native of Anniston, Alabama, embarked on his artistic journey with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Auburn University. His creative endeavors took him to Nashville, TN, where he co-oped with a prominent Architectural and Engineering firm. Further enriching his artistic palette, Ed also pursued studies in Cortona, Italy, garnering special commendations and winning a sculpture competition through the University of Georgia’s Studies Abroad Program.

In 1986, Ed made the move from Atlanta to Charlotte, founding his own business, ColorWorks, in 1989. Over the years, he has accumulated numerous national and international awards, cultivating a substantial following. Since 2014, Ed has returned to his roots, operating ArtDeyo in Anniston, AL, and actively engaging in the local community.

Ed Deyo’s artistic prowess is showcased through a unique process and a distinctive high-impact style that sets him apart globally. His versatile creations take various forms, including mobiles, windcatchers, lampshades, and even earrings. The ingenious layering of pigments on clear mylar and papers allows each piece to be a luminous, one-of-a-kind original, incorporating light, motion, and functionality.

Noteworthy is Ed’s commitment to giving back to the community. A portion of all sales from the exhibition will be generously donated to The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County.
