Rainbow City, AL – The Challenger Learning Center of Northeast Alabama announced a $375,000 gift from Family Savings Credit Union that will permanently establish Family Savings Credit Union Mission Control within the center’s facility.
The investment reflects Family Savings Credit Union’s stated commitment to education, workforce development, and community advancement across Northeast Alabama. Through the naming opportunity, the credit union will be recognized in perpetuity within Mission Control, a space-themed learning environment where middle school students participate in simulated space missions, take on STEM-related roles, collaborate as teams, and work through complex problem-solving scenarios.
“Mission Control is the heart of the Challenger experience,” said Dr. Farrah Hayes, Executive Director of the Challenger Learning Center of Northeast Alabama. “Having Family Savings Credit Union’s name associated with this space in perpetuity reflects their shared belief in preparing students for future careers through hands-on STEM learning, teamwork, and critical thinking.”
