ANNISTON, AL — The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County is offering residents an alternative way to ring in 2025 with a free, alcohol-free New Year’s Eve party on December 31.
The event, scheduled from 8:00 p.m. until midnight, will take place at the library’s location at 108 E 10th St in downtown Anniston. Organizers are inviting adults ages 18 and older to join for an evening of movies, puzzles, games, and refreshments as they count down to the new year.
Attendees can enjoy complimentary popcorn and purchase sodas for 50 cents. The library has emphasized the casual nature of the event, encouraging participants to “leave the fancy clothes at home and come as you are.”
The celebration provides a no-cost entertainment option for adults who may not have other plans for the holiday or who prefer a quieter, substance-free environment to welcome 2025. No alcohol will be permitted at the event.
Registration details and additional information can be obtained by contacting the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County directly.
