LINCOLN, AL — A 60-year-old Lincoln man died Thursday evening following a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 in Shelby County.
Rodney Fluker was killed when the 1998 Chevrolet Corvette he was operating left the roadway and struck a cable barrier near the 165 mile marker within Lincoln city limits. The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on December 25.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, where Fluker was pronounced deceased.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash. Authorities have not released additional details at this time, including potential contributing factors or road conditions.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and no other injuries have been reported.
The investigation remains active as troopers work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
