From Seventh-Grade Prayer to Jax State QB: JCA’s Noah Lee Signs with the Gamecocks

Height of fulfillment

JCA’s Lee prayed for size as a seventh-grader. Six years and one foot later, the Jax State signee eyes the next chapter as a Jax State quarterback.

JACKSONVILLE — Noah Lee’s grandfather took the occasion of his grandson’s signing ceremony Thursday to share one of Lee’s long-ago prayers.

Then a 5-foot-4 seventh-grader and manager of Jacksonville Christian’s football team, Lee looked at the older boys around him, noticed how he measured up and prayed.

“He prayed for size,” JCA coach Tommy Miller told the gathering of family, friends, teammates, coaches and the small school’s assembly.

They say God hears all prayers. Sometimes, the answer is yes.

The 6-foot-4 Lee signed with Jax State on Wednesday, the first day of the December signing period, and celebrated his signing at Thursday’s ceremony.
