Gadsden, AL – Gadsden State Community College recently recognized two employees for their outstanding commitment to service with the 2025 Excellence in Service Awards. The annual honors highlight staff members whose work strengthens the institution and inspires the campus community.
The 2025 recipients are Ethan Vinyard, Maintenance Technician I, and Kaiti Bolton, CRM Coordinator I.
Vinyard is known for his positive attitude and dedication to maintaining a welcoming environment across campus. His proactive approach in facilities and maintenance ensures students and visitors feel proud of the college setting.
Bolton, serving in Enrollment Services, provides essential support to students navigating academic expectations and campus life. Her professionalism and organizational skills also bolster marketing efforts aimed at student enrollment.
Both honorees received recognition during the Faculty and Staff Fall Convocation on Sept. 5 at Gadsden State Cherokee. Along with their awards, each was granted $1,000 in discretionary funds for professional development, equipment, or staff supplies.
Dr. Tera Simmons, executive vice president at Gadsden State, praised the recipients: “Ethan’s commitment to creating an environment where students feel proud to learn and grow is unmatched, and Kaiti’s dedication to ensuring every student has the tools and information they need to succeed is inspiring. Both go above and beyond their job descriptions, and their passion for Gadsden State makes a real difference.”
