Montgomery, AL – Governor Kay Ivey has authorized flags to be flown at half-staff effective immediately on the grounds of the Alabama State Capitol Complex in Montgomery and throughout the state of AL.
According to the governor’s authorization, the order will remain in effect until sunset on Friday, December 19, 2025. The directive is issued in memory of Ella Cook of Mountain Brook, who lost her life in a shooting at Brown University.
