Governor Ivey Honors Record Trooper Class

Montgomery, AL – Governor Kay Ivey on Tuesday hosted 48 Trooper Trainees set to graduate from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA)’s Training Center, marking one of the largest classes to complete the program since before the pandemic.

The event took place on the steps of the Alabama Governor’s Mansion, where Governor Ivey personally greeted each soon-to-be trooper before inviting them to a reception held in their honor.

“These new troopers represent the very best of Alabama — men and women who have chosen a life of service, courage and integrity,” said Governor Ivey. “They stand on the front lines of law and order, and their presence will be felt across all corners of our state as we continue strengthening public safety and law enforcement. I want each of them to know their governor has their backs as they proudly serve and protect the people of Alabama.”

Governor Ivey concluded her remarks by assuring the graduates that both she and the citizens of Alabama stand firmly behind them as they begin their careers in service.

The 48 members of ALEA Trooper Class 2025-B will officially graduate Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. The class includes 41 troopers joining ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division, four joining the Marine Patrol, and three joining Protective Services, which safeguards the State Capitol and other key government facilities.

Training began in May for non-certified recruits, with APOST-certified officers joining in August to complete the unified class. This graduation reflects the continued commitment of both Governor Ivey and ALEA to enhance public safety and expand the trooper presence across Alabama.
