Happening Now

Hobbit week will be held September 20-24th at the Oxford Public Library.  This event will be a hybrid event with online and in person events.

There will be videos released daily on the library’s facebook page, YouTube channel, and instagram account. These videos will show habit themes crafts, cupcake recipes, and other food recipes inspired by the books and movies.

There will also be an online hobbit escape room available through the library’s website.

In addition there will be scavenger hunts held each day in the library. These scavenger hunts are considered passive programs and completed at any time the library is open. They can be conducted individually to facilitate social distancing. Once the hunt is over and all hobbit items have been located make sure you come back to the man desk to collect your prize!

On Friday at 3:30 pm there will also be a Jeopardy styled trivia game.

These events are all free and open to all ages. Please ask fr Beth if you have any questions. 256-831-1750 EXT 4.

Make sure you check in at the library’s facebook page daily next week to see new events added each day!
