Jacksonville, AL – On Friday, September 15th from 2:00 am to 4:00 pm JSU will be offering a public event at Merrill Hall Room B01 or through zoom (link below). This is a return of the Tocqueville Lecture Series. This event features Dr. Jane Kamensky (Harvard University, Department of History) and Dr. Paul Caresse (Director of the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University). Dr. Gross will moderate a conversation concerning civic education, freedom of speech, and American democracy. There will also be questions taken from the audience. Per Dr Gross, “This event is mean to showcase bipartisanship, an interconnection between government and higher education, and how higher education is giving back to the larger community.”
