  • Council Member Remarks.
    • Councilman Andy Green congratulated JaxState for their first Bowl Win and promoted the new Jacksonville Downtown Website and also wished everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.
    • Councilman Tony Taylor thanked PIO Ben Nunnally for his work. He also noted that every light is currently working. He also congratulated JaxState for their season.
    • Councilwoman Sherry Laster wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
  • Mayor’s report.
    • Welcomed Scott Evan Calhoun and stated he looked forward to working with him.
    • He reminded all that Friday and Monday, December 22nd and 25th the city offices will be closed. They will also be closed on Monday, January 1st.
  • Any Other Business. – None
  • Consider action to adjourn into an Executive Session under the provisions of the Code of Alabama, Section 36-25A-7(a)(6) to discuss the consideration the governmental body is willing to offer or accept for the purchase, sale, exchange, or lease of real property and Section 36-25A- 7(a)(7) to discuss preliminary negotiations involving matters of economic development. – Unanimously Approved
