Jacksonville State University Earns 2025 Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention

Jacksonville Wins

Jacksonville, AL – Jacksonville State University (JSU) has been recognized with the 2025 Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention, a national honor awarded by Vector Solutions to institutions demonstrating exceptional leadership in student safety, wellness, and well-being.

The CPN Seal of Prevention acknowledges colleges and universities that take measurable action to create safer campus communities through comprehensive, evidence-based digital education. This includes programming focused on sexual assault prevention, alcohol and drug misuse, and mental health awareness. Institutions receiving the distinction are recognized for integrating prevention as a cornerstone of student success, campus climate, and retention.

At JSU, this achievement highlights the university’s holistic approach to student wellness—one that emphasizes safety, belonging, and education at every level of campus life. Coordinated through Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, Jax State’s research-based programming equips students with the knowledge and tools to make informed choices, support peers, and promote a culture of respect.

Dr. Joshua Robinson, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students, said the award reaffirms the university’s dedication to student well-being.

“We are proud to receive the CPN Seal of Prevention, which affirms our ongoing commitment to creating a campus where every student feels valued, supported, and safe,” Dr. Robinson said. “This distinction recognizes the daily efforts of our staff, faculty, and students who work together to strengthen the well-being of the entire Gamecock Family.”

Jonathan Cherins, CEO of Vector Solutions, praised the recipients for their leadership in prevention education.

“The CPN Seal of Prevention recipients represent the top institutions nationwide, underscoring their commitment to academic excellence and the well-being of their students,” Cherins said. “Our team at Vector Solutions is proud to recognize the great value these leading institutions are providing and the commitment we share to making higher-education communities safer and stronger.”

The CPN Seal of Prevention is grounded in the Principles of Effective Prevention Programs (Nation et al., 2003). More than 1,400 campuses were evaluated for eligibility, with Seal institutions achieving an 8.3% higher first-year retention rate and a 9.6% higher on-time graduation rate than non-Seal institutions.
