Jacksonville State University’s Office of Admissions Takes Over On-Campus ACT Management

JSU Offering On-Campus ACT

Jacksonville, AL – The Jacksonville State University (JSU) Office of Admissions has announced that it will now be overseeing the administration of the university’s On-Campus ACT exam, formerly known as the Residual ACT. This decision opens up a valuable opportunity for JSU students, both prospective and current, looking to enhance their academic journeys.

The On-Campus ACT, exclusively available to students who have been admitted to JSU or are currently enrolled, offers a convenient pathway to better academic prospects. Admissions Director Lauren Findley shared her insights on this development, stating, “The on-campus ACT is a great opportunity for students who need to take the exam for admission to nursing school, as well as those who have been admitted but not yet enrolled and wish to attempt a higher score. While prospective students are not required to take the ACT, test scores can improve a first-time freshman’s scholarship package if submitted before enrollment.”

This initiative provides students with an additional chance to excel, especially during months when the National ACT is not being offered. It is important to note that scores achieved through the Jax State On-Campus ACT program are specific to JSU and cannot be used for purposes outside the university, such as NCAA eligibility or applications to other institutions.

For the upcoming academic year, the On-Campus ACT exams will be held in Merrill Hall Auditorium from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the following dates:
