JACKSONVILLE, AL – Jacksonville State University’s Police Department has reported several recent incidents, including two theft cases and one incident of criminal mischief, as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain transparency and public safety on campus.
A theft by pickpocketing incident involving $500 or less was reported as occurring on June 24, 2025, at 10:00 p.m., and again on June 26 at 3:00 p.m. The case is currently listed as pending under incident number 062500014.
An earlier case of criminal mischief, involving damage to private property, occurred at the Child Development Center on June 15, 2025, between 7:00 p.m. and 7:25 p.m. This incident, listed as case number 062500008, has been closed following investigation.
Additionally, a first-degree theft of property case, involving the reported loss of property valued over $2,500, took place between May 8 and May 14, 2025. This incident was officially reported on June 5 at 3:20 p.m. The investigation remains ongoing.
