Baldwin County, AL – Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall announced today that a Baldwin County judge has granted a preliminary injunction against AKME Group, LLC and AKME, LLC—known collectively as AKME Gardens—as well as their owners, Adam Karsten Morck and Kristina Nis Dias. The injunction prohibits them from conducting any business in the state following allegations of consumer fraud.
The ruling, issued by Baldwin County Circuit Judge J. Clark Stankoski, follows a lawsuit filed by the Attorney General’s Office in March 2025, accusing the defendants of falsely claiming to be certified to sell nursery plants and seeds and of accepting payment for products they failed to deliver.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, AKME Gardens has not held certification from the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries to sell nursery stock since 2022 and may have never been certified to sell seeds. The complaint outlines 24 alleged violations of the Alabama Deceptive Trade Practices Act related to false claims of certification, along with 13 additional alleged violations for accepting payment without delivering goods.
The injunction extends to all business operations within the state, including Ride Doctors LLC, a business reportedly opened by Morck in August 2024.
“Falsely claiming to be an Alabama-certified nursery and accepting money for products that were never delivered isn’t just unethical — it’s illegal,” stated Attorney General Marshall. “Let this serve as a warning to any business looking to make a quick profit at the expense of hardworking Alabamians.”
The Attorney General’s Office is seeking full restitution for impacted consumers, the cessation of all business activity in Alabama, civil penalties, and attorneys’ fees.
