Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Grand Opening of Below Zero Creamery in Downtown Oxford

Celebrating Below Zero Creamery

Oxford, AL – The Oxford community gathered Wednesday to officially welcome Below Zero Creamery to its new brick-and-mortar location in historic downtown Oxford. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the shop’s new home: 614 Hale Street, Suite D.

Below Zero Creamery, known for its signature rolled ice cream and coffee offerings, began as a mobile ice cream truck in Anniston. Founded by mother-daughter duo Cornechia Arnold and Brittney Ammons, the truck quickly gained a loyal customer base, prompting the pair to expand into a permanent storefront.

Their business motto, “Everyday Should Start With Coffee & End With Ice Cream,” now greets customers in a vintage-inspired shop that reflects the charm of its downtown surroundings.

“We’re so excited to be part of the Oxford community and bring our creations to a wider audience,” Ammons said during the celebration.

The new location continues to serve rolled ice cream, coffee, and specialty treats in a family-friendly atmosphere. City officials, community members, and representatives from the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce were present to show their support.

The shop is now open to the public and invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy a nostalgic dessert experience in the heart of downtown.
