ANNISTON, AL — The West Anniston Foundation is continuing its Lead Prevention Awareness Training series with a session scheduled for Thursday, June 11, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 800 Clydesdale Avenue in Anniston.
The public event is designed to provide information and education regarding lead prevention and awareness. According to event details, participants may qualify for financial incentives through the program.
Attendees can earn $25 in Healthy Bucks incentives for each module completed, with households eligible to receive up to $100 in total incentives. The Healthy Bucks incentives can be redeemed for fruits and vegetables at the Downtown Anniston Farmers Market.
The training is open to the public, and organizers encourage community members to attend and learn more about lead prevention, its potential health impacts, and ways to reduce exposure.
The event is expected to last approximately two hours.
