OXFORD, AL — Country music artist Lee Greenwood is scheduled to perform at the Oxford Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is part of the Webb Concrete Classic Country Series and will take place at the Oxford Performing Arts Center, located at 100 E. Choccolocco St. in Oxford.
Greenwood has been a prominent figure in country music for several decades, earning multiple Country Music Association (CMA) and Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards. His career includes numerous charting singles and albums, with songs such as “Ring on Her Finger, Time on Her Hands,” “Dixie Road,” “Going, Going, Gone,” and “Somebody’s Gonna Love You.”
He is perhaps best known for his patriotic anthem “God Bless the U.S.A.,” which has experienced renewed popularity during significant national events and has charted multiple times throughout its history.
In addition to his music career, Greenwood has been recognized for his support of the U.S. military and has participated in numerous USO tours entertaining service members around the world.
