Anniston, AL –The 26th Annual Lobsterfest will take place on Saturday, October 19, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Anniston, marking a special celebration for the community. This family-friendly, festival-style gathering is more than just a fun day out – it’s an event that supports Calhoun Cleburne Habitat for Humanity, helping them in their mission to provide decent housing for families in need.
Lobsterfest has been a local tradition since its inception, raising over $259,000 to date for Habitat for Humanity. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better, with a host of activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy fresh Maine lobster, which will be available as both full dinners or live and cooked options for takeout. If lobster isn’t your thing, there will be plenty of other food options, including hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, and a fabulous bake sale featuring homemade treats.
In addition to the delicious food, Lobsterfest offers a variety of fun activities, including games and entertainment for kids, making it the perfect event for the whole family. Arts and crafts vendors will also be on-site, showcasing their handmade goods. Interested vendors can apply for a space for just $20, with a portion of their sales benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
The lobster dinners, which include a whole lobster, baked potato, slaw, and bread, must be purchased in advance through Eventbrite, at the Grace Episcopal Church or Habitat for Humanity offices, or from a Grace Church member. Lobster-only options (live or cooked) are also available. The lobsters will be flown in from Maine on the Friday evening before the event, ensuring that you’re getting the freshest lobster possible.
Ticket prices vary based on market rates, with lobster dinners priced at $30 and lobster-only options (live or cooked) available for $22. All proceeds from the event will directly support Calhoun Cleburne Habitat for Humanity, helping them continue their important work in the community.
Whether you’re a longtime attendee or new to Lobsterfest, this event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy great food, have fun with family and friends, and support a cause that truly makes a difference. Volunteers from Grace Church and Habitat for Humanity will be working hard to ensure the best experience for everyone.
