OXFORD, AL — Main Street Alabama recently recognized Historic Main Street Oxford Executive Director Hunter Gentry for his leadership and contributions to the ongoing revitalization of downtown Oxford.
In a recognition shared by the organization, Main Street Alabama highlighted the long-term commitment and vision that help shape successful Main Street communities across the state.
Gentry noted that Historic Main Street Oxford has been a designated Main Street community for the past 12 years and said the program has played a significant role in transforming downtown into a destination for both residents and visitors.
“I am proud that Historic Main Street Oxford has been a designated Main Street community for the past twelve years,”Gentry said. “During that time, our program has helped transform downtown Oxford into a vibrant destination where residents and visitors alike want to spend time and take pride in their community. While we have accomplished a great deal, there is still much work ahead.”
He also expressed appreciation for the continued support provided by Main Street Alabama and Main Street America.
“I am grateful to Main Street Alabama and Main Street America for their continued support, guidance, and resources, which have played an important role in our success and helped strengthen designated communities across the state and nation,” Gentry said.
Main Street Alabama thanked Gentry for his leadership, recognizing his role in helping create a downtown environment that encourages community pride and connection.
