Cleburne County, AL — A two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon, April 19, has claimed the life of a Rainbow City man, according to authorities.
Chancellor A. Perkins, 24, was fatally injured when the 2005 Suzuki GSX600FK5 Katana motorcycle he was operating struck a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Adam E. Ingram, 45, of Temple, Georgia. Officials reported that Perkins was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:05 p.m. on Alabama 281 near the 487 mile marker, about 10 miles southwest of Heflin, in Cleburne County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further details have been released at this time.
