Mobile Man Wanted for Escape After Leaving Court-Ordered Facility in Anniston

Manhunt underway for court-ordered rehab escapee

ANNISTON, Ala. – The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking Christopher Marcellos Scott Jr., 25, who reportedly fled from the Center of Hope facility in Anniston on July 13. Scott was placed there following time served in the Mobile County Metro Jail for third‑degree domestic violence. After leaving the jail, he was transferred under court order to the Anniston program before his escape charge was issued.

Scott now faces a third-degree escape warrant related to his unauthorized departure. Authorities describe him as a resident of Mobile, Alabama, and emphasize the seriousness of his escape given the initial sentencing context.

Law enforcement urges anyone with information regarding Scott’s whereabouts to contact the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office at 251‑574‑8633.
