Ohatchee, AL – The Ohatchee Town Council met on March 10, 2026, to conduct regular business and hear updates on community initiatives. All agenda items presented during the meeting were approved unanimously.
Council members approved the minutes from the work session and regular meeting held on February 24, confirming the official record of the previous meeting.
Among the items approved was a repair project for the town’s old ball fields. The council authorized repairs to be completed by South Dirt Construction, LLC at a cost of $1,700.
During the meeting, officials also shared updates related to recent community efforts at Harts Ferry Park. Representatives reported that a cleanup event held on February 28 in partnership with Coosa Riverkeeper resulted in more than 600 pounds of trash being collected and properly disposed of.
In other business, the council noted that March has been proclaimed as American Red Cross Month. The town has been asked to participate by presenting a proclamation recognizing the organization’s service during March 2026.
Mayor Eubanks also informed the council that he is currently working to obtain estimates for major roof repairs needed at the town plaza. He expects to have cost estimates prepared for review at the council’s next meeting later in March.
