OHATCHEE, AL — The Town of Ohatchee will host a community Independence celebration on Friday, July 3, 2026, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States with an evening of family-friendly activities, patriotic entertainment, and fireworks.
The event will take place at 400 Big Oak Road in Ohatchee and is open to the public. Organizers say attendees can enjoy a variety of free activities and refreshments, including water slides, bounce houses, cotton candy, hot dogs, chips, and drinks.
Retired U.S. Air Force General Robert “Bob” Holmes is scheduled to serve as the keynote speaker.
Live music will be provided by Dalton Jones, with additional patriotic music presented by Bryan Griffith. The program will also include recognition of local veterans before concluding with a fireworks display.
Organizers invite residents and visitors to gather for an evening celebrating faith, family, freedom, and community as the nation marks its 250th year of independence.
