Calhoun County, AL – Per the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a two-vehicle crash involving an overturned commercial vehicle that occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. Saturday, July 8, has caused a lane closure. The westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near the 184 mile marker in Calhoun County are now blocked and will be closed for an undetermined amount of time. The westbound traffic is being diverted at exit 185. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
UPDATE 6:49 am: Per ALEA two westbound lanes are open. The right westbound lane will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
UPDATE 9:29am: Per ALEA The roadway is clear and all lanes are open.
