Oxford Jefferson’s to Honor Local 'Coach of the Yea

Oxford, AL – In a heartfelt celebration of community and sportsmanship, Jefferson’s Restaurant is excited to announce the inaugural “Oxford Jefferson’s Coach of the Year” award, coinciding with National Coaches Day on October 6. This initiative aims to honor the dedication and influence of coaches who leave a lasting impact on their athletes’ lives and the Oxford community at large.

The Oxford Jefferson’s Coach of the Year award is open to coaches of any sport and at any level within the Oxford area. Nominations are welcomed from a diverse group of individuals, including athletes, parents, guardians, and school officials, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to recognize the coaches who inspire and motivate.

The nomination period commenced on October 4 and will remain open until October 20 at 11:59 p.m. During this time, community members are encouraged to submit nominations for exceptional coaches who exemplify dedication and commitment to their teams.

One coach will be selected as the Oxford Jefferson’s Coach of the Year and will receive several honors, including a $500 Jefferson’s gift card and their name engraved on a recognition plaque displayed prominently at the restaurant for all patrons to see. Jefferson’s is located at 230 Spring Branch Rd.

Sean McCooey, President of the Double Dip Franchise Group, expressed the restaurant’s commitment to recognizing impactful coaches. “We know the impact of a good coach at Jefferson’s,” he said. “As a game day destination, many of our patrons are athletes, teams, and fans who’ve had their lives changed by excellent coaches. We want to do our part to recognize those individuals who go above and beyond for their teams.”

Athletes and schools interested in nominating a coach can submit their nominations via the location’s Nomination Formduring the submission period. The winner of the Oxford Jefferson’s Coach of the Year award will be announced on November 14.
