Per the Oxford city spokeswoman, Lorie Denton, this afternoon at 3:23PM Oxford Fire Department received a call that a passenger vehicle made slight contact with bus number 18-02 belonging to Oxford City Schools. This occurred while in the process of transporting 36 students home from school near Sunny Eve Baptist Church. The driver of the truck appeared to have a medical issue arise as he was driving. There was minimal damage to the bus. No students nor the driver of the bus were injured. All parents have been notified and the students have been moved to an alternate bus and are continuing their regular dropoff route.
