Work Session
- Ordinance No. 2021- 25 – Ordinance annexing the property of Laricus and Pamela English, 1021 County Line Road West, Talladega County. – This property is to be used as a residential location. The building will be conducted on the wooded side.
- Resolution No. 2021- 141 – Resolution authorizing an appropriation to World Changers for providing low income citizens with various home repairs in the total amount of $4,055.21 – Work was completed this summer and two residences were worked on.
- Resolution No. 2021 – 142 – Resolution condemning the structure located at 214 1st Avenue Pinecrest. – A request was made to table this condemnation for two weeks. The owner believes in that timeframe all work will be brought up to code.
- Resolution No. 2021 – 143 – Resolution condemning the structure located at 1613 Hamric Drive East. – no comments
- Resolution No. 2021 – 144 – Resolution condemning the structure located at 804 Pine Ridge Drive. – – A request was made to table this condemnation for two weeks. The owner believes in that timeframe all work will be brought up to code.

- Resolution No. 2021 – 146 – Resolution approving a plat of a subdivision of the Cottages at Peaceful Valley. – No comments
- Resolution No. 2021- 147 – Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with Harbor Enterprises for two storm shelter/community safe rooms in the total amount of $200,000.00. – These storm shelters will be domed shaped and will be located at the Friendship Community Center and the City Garage.
- Resolution No. 2021 – 148 – Resolution authorizing the Mayor to submit an Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement II Program (ATRIP II) Application for improvements on U. S. Highway 78 E. for certain intersections. – This is for work to help improve safe travel conditions and to widen lanes to match current traffic flow.
- Resolution No. 2021 – 149 – Resolution authorizing the acceptance of the Oxford Exchange Boulevard Extension Corridor Study Proposal as submitted by CDG Engineers and Associates, Inc. in the total amount of $125,700.00. – This is for work to help improve safe travel conditions and to widen lanes to match current traffic flow.

- Welcome/Invocation – The Speaker noted that he had a homeroom teacher, Ms. Hamrick, who made a huge difference in his life. She would read from the Bible each day and that really impacted how he was shaped and molded. He just wanted to share that Oxford story prior to the invocation.
