Piedmont, AL – A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a commercial vehicle Wednesday night in Calhoun County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
ALEA officials said the crash occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, on U.S. Highway 431 near the 234 mile marker, approximately one mile south of Anniston.
Authorities identified the victim as McKala S. Brasher. Troopers said Brasher was in the roadway at the time of the crash and was struck by a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Drew N. McGee.
Brasher was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency stated that no further information is currently available as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the crash.
