Piedmont City Council Approves Park Funds, Councilman Feazell Announces Departure

Piedmont, AL – During the City Council meeting Tuesday evening, the Council approved an $11,229 expenditure for the Park and Recreation department. Park and Rec manager, Jeff Formby told the Council, $8300 of that would be paid by the department and they would only need assistance on approximately $3000.

In other business, the Council approved the minutes from the previous meeting and approved the bills for payment in the amount of $550,366.23 and two weeks of payroll in the amount of 161,461.19 for a total of $711,827.42.

During the Council Reports, District 3 Councilman, Jubal Feazell, announced he would not seek reelection to that position.

The next meeting of the Piedmont City Council will be June 17th at 5:30 pm.
