Piedmont Police Department Releases February 2026 Patrol Statistics

Piedmont, AL – The Piedmont Police Department has released its patrol statistics for February 2026, outlining the department’s activity and response levels throughout the month.

According to the report, dispatch received 1,543 calls during February. Of those calls, 306 required police service, while 480 calls were related to fire and rescue services.

Officers completed 86 incident reports during the month and made 59 arrests.

The department also reported 590 officer-initiated contacts, which include proactive interactions such as checking on suspicious activity, conducting welfare checks, and engaging with community members.

In addition, officers conducted 307 extra patrols and district checks across the city, a practice often used to monitor areas experiencing increased activity or to enhance community safety.

Traffic enforcement during February included 76 traffic stops or citations issued by officers.

Overall, patrol units logged 8,342 miles traveled while responding to calls, conducting patrols, and performing other law enforcement duties throughout the city.
