Loving Care Group & Transportation Services, Inc is applying to the Alabama Department of Transportation for an Operational, Administration, Capital, and Planning assistance award under 49 U.S.C. Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Laws. This grant funding will provide financial assistance for public transportation service for the residents of Jefferson, Calhoun and Sumter County
The service is provided for general public and currently operates Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. All residents including mobility device users, must schedule 24 hours in advance. Fares range from $1.00 to $150.00 per one-way trip. No service or fare changes are planned for FY2027

This grant funding will provide federal financial assistance for Operational, Administration, Capital, and Planning Expenses. Capital funding will be used to purchase Three (3) transit vehicles with mobility device securements, two (2) laptops and mobile devices
