ANNISTON, AL — Redbird Willow Farm will host a Fathers’ Cookout on Sunday, June 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at its location at 1103 Lenlock Lane in Anniston. The public event is designed to provide a welcoming space for fathers, young men, and male role models to connect through conversation, encouragement, and community.
Organizers say the gathering was created for men who may be carrying challenges quietly, whether that involves grief, the responsibilities of raising children, or simply feeling isolated. The event aims to offer a relaxed environment where attendees can spend time with others facing similar experiences.
The cookout will feature burgers, hot dogs, and an opportunity for attendees to engage in open and honest conversations without a formal agenda. Organizers describe the event as a place where men can find support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging.
According to event information, the gathering is intended for fathers grieving the loss of a child, dads navigating the challenges of parenthood, young men and boys seeking guidance and connection, and any father figure interested in building relationships with other men in the community.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to arrive and depart as needed and are invited to bring a friend.
