Montgomery, AL – As the March 5, 2024 Primary Election draws near, Secretary of State Wes Allen is reaching out to Alabama voters with crucial reminders and information to ensure a smooth and informed voting process on Election Day.
In a statement, Secretary Allen emphasized the importance of voters checking their registration status, verifying their polling locations, and reviewing sample ballots ahead of the primary. To facilitate this, he encourages voters to visit www.AlabamaVotes.gov.
“Before heading to the polls on March 5, I encourage Alabama voters to visit www.AlabamaVotes.gov where they can check the status of their voter registration, verify their polling location, and view their county’s sample ballots,” said Secretary Allen. “I want all Alabama voters to be fully prepared as they plan to exercise their constitutional right to vote on March 5.”
In-person absentee ballots must reach the county absentee election manager by close of business on March 4, 2024, while those returned by mail should be received no later than noon on Election Day, March 5, 2024.
On the day of the election, polling stations will be open from 7 am to 7 pm. Voters must present a valid form of photo identification, whether voting in person or by absentee ballot.
